Well, my name is Madalayne.
As you've probably gathered, I am a Product Designer. I'm also interested in all kinds of art, such as photography, painting, drawing, and more. I've travelled a lot and enjoy new experiences as well as getting to know people from different walks of life.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist - but I am also always open to trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone.
I'm passionate about learning, growing, and evolving as a person and in my creative endeavours.

Multidisciplinary
This is my style of existing. This means I view my life as one of new discoveries, opportunities, exploration, experimentation, self-expression, and invention.
Living Creatively
Along with my creative side, I also enjoy managing projects, using programming languages, as well as learning about psychology, marketing, statistics, and economics which all help to guide design decisions, especially when it comes to the business world and understanding the people you're designing for.
User Experience Design
The idea of learning and understanding how people’s minds work and to design products with that in mind is what I love about UX design. For me, it is about fostering a positive relationship between the user and all aspects of whatever I am designing.

I've taken a keen interest in learning about, understanding, and working to improve the Canadian Healthcare system. While it is appreciated by all Canadians, it is also a severely outdated and complex system.
As a UX and product designer, I am in a unique position to be able to make an impact in the healthcare tech industry. This is what I'm doing while working at Emmetros, on projects such as Visual Cues.
Healthcare
I believe that art is everywhere, and anything you do can be an art. If it has meaning, evokes emotion, sparks curiosity, or spreads inspiration, I have an appreciation for it.
Since I was a young child, I have dabbled in many forms of art. From theatre, dance, and improv, to photography, painting, music and drawing, to digital art, web design, and writing.

I co-own a clothing and art company with my best friend and my boyfriend. It's called Grey Garden. It is uniquely focussed on creating artwork that uses clothing as a canvas. Go check it out!
My Business
I enjoy playing video games. League of Legends, Breath of the Wild, Cyberpunk, to name a few. I wouldn't say I'm great at them.. but it's a fun pastime. I also enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. I'm currently putting my storytelling and writing skills to the test by planning our next campaign!
Gaming
In September of 2019, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Hong Kong for 4 months. During this experience, I travelled around Asia, visiting countries like Thailand, South Korea, and Japan. I also had the unique experience of being in Hong Kong during the large protests. Hong Kong will always hold a special place in my heart.
